Mama Mia, that's a spicy meatball...or is it? Maybe it's Swedish. Maybe it's vegan. Maybe it's candied! A meatball can be anything you can dream up so join us on Saturday, September 30th, 6:30, at the home of Karen and Dave Yagnesak for our first Cooking Club of 2017-18; a Meatball Throw Down! (Normally, Cooking Club is on the 3rd Saturday of the month but due to a schedule change, we had to move it to the 30th this month.)
We'll proceed just as we did with the Chili Cook-Off so bring your balls in a crockpot or a pot for the stove top and whatever serving utensils you will need. Or, if you prefer, present them on a platter, but there will be no way to keep them warm. Bring any additional toppings or whatever you might need to complete your dish.
You may also bring a side dish or dessert if you desire. Tasting cups, spoons, forks, bowls, plates, etc... will be provided. As always, bring wine, beer, or the beverage of your choice. Water will be provided.
So bring your balls, one and all, for a throw down judgement call. Categories are: Presentation, Best Sauce, Best Ball, Best Overall.
