Two miles of walking trails take visitors through diverse habitats, including a 350- foot marsh boardwalk and two observation towers that overlook a cattail marsh. Within the Visitors Center is the Discovery Room, which features hands-on exhibits, art exhibits, and a Nature Gift Shop: other exhibits include a solar Greenhouse, an arboretum, gardens, apple cider house, and a maple sugar shed.
Let’s tour their Animal Care Building, which houses more than 40 species, including the Birds of Prey exhibit featuring seven aviaries. Maybe we’ll find a turkey hiding in the corner for very good reasons this time of year!
After exploring the Center, we can take a hike on one of the nature trails to help walk off some of the upcoming turkey feasts and afterwards let’s enjoy some apple cider.
Please RSVP via email by Wednesday, November 9th. This event will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
Note: If there is a Naturalist available for guided hike, there may be a small fee involved (we will let you know at the time of your RSVP).
