This month we will explore French cuisine, which is known and respected throughout the world.

We can begin the evening with a variety of canapés and/or quiche, such as quiche Lorraine.  For a starter I would suggest steamy and aromatic French onion or pumpkin soup served with a piece of crusty baguette, and for the main course perhaps a flavorful and hearty beef bourguignon or cassoulet with pork and smoked sausage. To end the meal, a dessert of chocolate mousse or oven-baked apples with cinnamon and walnuts would compliment the dishes.

Hm, my mouth is watering already!  As the author of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Julia Child, would say, “Bon appetit!”
