Join us at the Recreation Center for run, walk, talk on the Parks and Rec trail. Each loop is just over a mile long. Come for one, two or more loops round the trail.
Afterwards, if you have time we can relax in a short meditation and controlled breathing on the deck next to the pond to meditation music/sounds.
(Why is relaxation key to exercise? In a nutshell, after exercise most people find they want to eat more........ seems counter intuitive to most of us. Relaxing breathing rebalances the hormones released during exercise that could cause you not only to want to eat more but to want to eat foods high in sugar. It's more relevant after strenuous exercise but it's a habit worth keeping to regardless of stress level of the exercise. Meditation is simple, yet effective. Meditative sounds with theta waves shorten the time it takes to completely relax and rebalance. (Nothing esoteric, just science.)
