A must-do hike for gorgeous views! This 3.5 mile loop trail goes up Bear Mountain to Perkins Point Tower where on a clear day you can spot the NYC skyline. The trail up has some fun rock scrambles and the descent is on the famed Appalachian Trail. This section of the trail has lots of built-in stone steps that were installed in a major feat of engineering. The entire hike should take 2.5 - 3 hours, so bring water and lunch.
We'll meet in front of Jersey Mike's in Copps Hill Plaza at 9:30 to carpool the one hour drive to the park. We should be back around 3:00 or 3:30.
If you are running late or need to cancel, please text Kristen at 203-297-2827.
