The Steep Rock Preserve has trails that run along the Shepaug River in Washington Depot, CT. We'll start down one side of the river along a wide open dirt road, check out an old railroad tunnel, head across the river on a suspension bridge and come back along the other side on a narrower and rockier trail. Total distance is less than 4 miles.
The preserve is a one hour drive from Ridgefield so we'll meet up to carpool/caravan in the Copps Hill shopping center parking lot in front of Jersey Mike's at 8:30. Bring water and lunch or snacks. We should be back in Ridgefield around 1:00 or 1:30.
**PLEASE NOTE: in the confirmation email under "additional info" is a cell # to call if you signed up but need to cancel. It's important to let me know so we know if we should wait for you.
